I'm a YA paranormal romance author. I co-write the Howl, Briar Creek Vampires, and Siren's Lullaby series with my sister, Jayme Morse. I love writing, and I write every day of the week--including holidays! Getting lost in the world of our characters is my favorite form of relaxation. When I'm not writing, I'm usually devouring a good book. Sara Shepard's books are my guilty pleasure (and Pretty Little Liars is my TV show addiction), but I'll read mostly anything that falls into the young adult and new adult genres lately.
The only thing I love as much as writing and reading is music. I couldn't get through a single day of writing without listening to country music. I love Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, and Jason Aldean. I also love bands and musicians such as the Fray, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Pitbull, and Pink. I find it helpful to listen to songs our characters would be able to relate to when I'm writing. So, for example, if one of our characters wants to kiss someone, I'll listen to "Kiss Me Goodnight" by Gloriana to put myself in the "moment" with that character.
